Nice to meet you. I’m Sophie.
I’m the creator of documentingsophie! After spending 2023 visiting 7 countries, it’s safe to say the travel bug has bitten me. With no plans of stopping anytime soon, I have created this website as a way of compiling all of the travel knowledge and experience I’ve gained (as well as my extensive camera roll ;) ) into a format that might inspire people.
Growing up, my family was all about staycations. Every summer, we’d embark on a camping trip, exploring “local” towns and countryside areas, getting ice cream, and playing in the woods. I can’t be more grateful to my parents for having given me the opportunity to see the beauty in my home country before I spread my wings and headed abroad. This year (2024), having recently acquired a driving license, I hope to see more of the UK and enjoy more of what it has to offer.
